Following the success of the first two editions of the Méca-J congress held in 2021 and 2023, the AFM via its GTT-AUM has relaunched the 2024 edition of this congress "by and for" young researchers in mechanics.

After Nouvelle Aquitaine in 2021 and Grand-Est in 2023, the organization of the MECA-J 2024 congress has been entrusted to young doctoral students, post-doctoral students, researchers and teacher-researchers in mechanics of the Ile-de-France region.
The aim of the congress is to encourage exchanges between young researchers in mechanics conducting their research in French and French speakers laboratories.

All aspects of Mechanics in the broadest sense are welcome (mechanics of materials and structures, acoustics and vibrations, fluid mechanics and thermics, biomechanics, civil engineering, mechanical engineering...).

The conference will include poster and presentation sessions to showcase your research.

This third edition will take place entirely online, from August 28 to 30, 2024.

Registration is free and open to all those who are currently working on a thesis, or on a postdoc, or who have held a permanent position as a teacher-researcher or researcher for less than 7 years.

Why attend MECA-J?

  • A unique opportunity to present your research work in an informal and relaxed setting. All are welcome! You are all welcome (from the first year of your thesis), whether you are a PhD student, post-doc, young researcher, engineer or associate professor.
  • A certificate of attendance will be issued to all doctoral students for ECTS accreditation by the EDs.
  • The opportunity to take part in orientation sessions: for "post-doctorate" (REDOC-SPI) and "career" (CNU & CoNRS) pursuits.
